Not perfect yet, but good
I find it good that developer has listened and solved some of the issues in the new update...BUT new bugs and inconveniences have appeared: 1. After the update of dictionaries to the latest version, the badge suggesting update for each dictionary appears again. It disappears only when I start the app offline. 2. The sounds in the Universal dictionary for most of the entries are gone (while in other dictionaries they have kept untouched - fingers crossed it it remains so - and the pronunciation menu is gone when the word is selected in this dictionary). 3. Please get back the possibility of looking the word up in the system dictionary! 4. Please enble your app to remember scrolling point of the entry, so that it does not jump to the top line when the app is switched back to in the multitasking mode or maximized again.

A nasty app!!!
I was stolen by Duden. I bought the Deutches Universalwörterbuch, 7. Auflage, and the Duden Synonymewörterbuch, 5. Auflage. They worked as separate apps. Then, Duden created a new app in which all the dictionaries work in it, though it remains the necessity to buy them separately. But for my bitter surprise, the apps I bought dont work any longer and I have to buy them again in the new version Duden released. This is simply what any law system calls fraud.

I think its smarter to just use google, instead of paying the inapp purchases for high prices. useless app without extra purchase

this is a waste of time, less than 100 actual definitions. its simply a platform to sell you 5 different duden dictionaries, total price around 100 euros. just use duden in your browser

Ignorant developer
It has been only once since I started using this app and leaving comments with suggestions for improvements that this developed was listening… For now, I leave a rating of one star instead of customary four for the following reasons: 1. Most words in Universal dictionary with multiple entries (e.g. ein, Gast, der) do not show up in search and list of words. Only full-text search enables finding the entry for the needed word. It’s frustrating. This bug continues over multiple updates. The developer just doesn’t care. Rather he adds new functionality (entry search) that I hardly find helpful... 2. Synonyms dictionary (6th edition) has a different font size, which makes the user change it every time between dictionary changes. 3. Using gestures (multi-finger swipes) on iPad is a sheer hell: the fonts become wild unpredictably increasing and decreasing entry font when gesture is effected. 4. Last update broke the possibility to look up words in system dictionary. Now, almost everywhere in the app words are not selected properly (instead whole sentences or paragraphs are selected) and the button „Define“ is missing. For advanced dictionary users it’s madness. A simple question: why break the app totally only to introduce a free time-limited dictionary? Very disappointed… Shame on you! Give me the reason in the next update to give you more starts back.
